What Are We Looking For?
Owing to continued sustainable growth, our in-house Design team is looking for additional Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join the established team in Leeds. You will take on a fully supported leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.
RSE is in an incredibly strong position in the marketplace with a strong order book already secured.
As part of industry-leading multi-disciplined project teams, some of your key duties will include:
- Meeting with clients to discuss specific intervention requirements.
- Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implantation.
- Ensure compliance with Client specification and current regulatory standards.
- Develop design deliverables.
- Complete checking and approval processes.
- Carrying out the planning and implementation of projects in association with our Delivery Management teams.
- Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.
What Do You Need?
- Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering Engineering
- Knowledge of British and European design standards.
- Proven management capability including all aspects of project development, design, construction and commissioning.
- Preconstruction design and cost evaluation knowledge and experience.
- The ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Mechanical design engineering experience within municipal water/wastewater is highly desirable.
- Experience of working in a multidiscipline design team.
- Design management experience is highly desirable.
- Experience of working at all design stages, from optioneering/FEED through to construction support and As-Built is highly desirable.
- Full UK Driving License
