What Are We Looking For?

RSE is looking for an experienced Office, Plant and Equipment Coordinator to join our West Thurrock office on a permanent basis as part of our Asset Management & Technical Services team. This is a key role, managing the logistics of RSE’s fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment as well as liaising with the Operations Manager to provide wider administrative support to the office.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

  • To be the focal point for the co-ordination of vehicles, plant and equipment.
  • Control vehicle, plant and equipment registers ensuring that all license, MOT and service timelines are met.
  • Management of plant and equipment tracking systems.
  • Process plant and equipment requisitions as required.
  • Control and update registers/systems to reflect plant and equipment hire status.
  • Identify and arrange shipping/transportation for plant and equipment deliveries to project schedules.
  • Identify areas where suitable improvements, innovations and cost solutions can be made; challenging, where appropriate, the existing standards.
  • Liaise with existing suppliers (vehicle repairs and maintenance) and request damage repair quotes from alternative suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated where required.
  • Ensure thorough and timely inspection of slings, lifting equipment, harnesses and ladders.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment is tested and in good working order.
  • Assist in stores where required.
  • Production and circulation of any required project management reports.
  • Preparation of site and office documentation as required.
  • Document control and tracking.
  • Assist with administrative duties within the office.

What Do You Need?

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge and understanding of VOSA regulations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency Regulations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction plant & equipment management.
  • Experience in a similar role within the engineering or construction sectors.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety processes, practices and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Environmental & Quality processes/practices and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Be able to work to deadlines to produce work to a high standard.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
